We should use plastic packaging correctly

Plastic packaging has become an inseparable part of our daily lives, from bottled instant noodles and instant milk tea to various soft drinks and mineral water. While people enjoy the convenience of fast food, they often overlook the plastic packaging that comes with it. Concerns about plastic safety have been amplified by alarming online rumors, such as the claim that eating instant noodles can cause stomach cancer. This has sparked widespread anxiety. But is plastic really as "dangerous" as it seems? According to Xiang Bin, an engineer from the Provincial Quality Inspection Institute, plastic packaging is generally safe under normal use. However, improper handling or misuse can turn even safe materials into potential hazards. The rumor that eating instant noodles causes stomach cancer gained traction after a story circulated online about a female college student in Heilongjiang who was diagnosed with advanced gastric cancer. The narrative suggested that her monthly habit of eating instant noodles led to her illness. However, experts have pointed out that there is no solid scientific evidence linking the two. Cancer develops over a long period, and the girl’s condition was likely due to a combination of poor lifestyle habits rather than just eating noodles. Still, the fear spread, and some people began blaming the packaging itself. Another common myth is that the inside of instant noodle buckets is coated with wax. Some people believe that long-term consumption of noodles from these containers could lead to harmful effects. In reality, the inner layer of the bucket is not waxed but coated with polyethylene, a food-safe material used to make the container waterproof and heat-resistant. According to Xiang Bin, polyethylene is non-toxic, odorless, and chemically stable, making it a widely used material in food packaging. What about reusing plastic bottles? Many people reuse beverage bottles for cost-saving reasons. However, this practice may not be as safe as it seems. Most drink bottles are made of PET (polyethylene terephthalate), which is safe at room temperature. But repeated use or exposure to high temperatures can cause the plastic to degrade, potentially releasing harmful substances. It's best to dispose of these bottles after a single use. Additionally, avoid leaving bottled water in hot environments like a car trunk or direct sunlight, as heat can accelerate the release of chemicals. In conclusion, while plastic packaging plays a vital role in modern life, it's important to use it correctly. Misunderstandings and misinformation can create unnecessary fear. By understanding how these materials work and following proper usage guidelines, we can enjoy the convenience of packaged foods without compromising our health. Stay informed, stay safe.

Geared Traction Machine

Geared traction Machine For Elevator / Lift, Elevator Spare Parts.

Geared traction machines are driven by AC or DC electric motors. As the name implies, the electric motor in this design drives a worm-and-gear-type reduction unit, which turns the hoisting sheave. While the lift rates are slower than in a typical gearless elevator, the gear reduction offers the advantage of requiring a less powerful motor to turn the sheave. These elevators typically operate at speeds from 38 to 152 meters (125-500 ft) per minute and carry loads of up to 13,600 kilograms (30,000 lb). An electrically controlled brake between the motor and the reduction unit stops the elevator, holding the car at the desired floor level.
