Change locks revolutionary national high-end community real estate popular fingerprint lock

A recent report by the Consumers Association has brought the term "A-level lock" into the public spotlight. According to the Ministry of Public Security's GAT73-94 standard, "Mechanical Anti-theft Lock," anti-theft locks are categorized into two levels based on their security performance: ordinary protection level and advanced protection level. The former is marked with the letter "A," while the latter is labeled "B." An A-level anti-theft lock is designed to resist technical unlocking for at least one minute and destructive opening for no less than 15 minutes. However, according to the Zhongxiao Association, B-level anti-theft locks are considered more secure. In testing, the time required to break open a B-level lock is significantly higher than the typical time a thief would spend attempting to commit a crime. Yesterday, reporters learned from property management companies in major cities like Beijing, Guangzhou, Shanghai, and Shenzhen that most high-end residential buildings still use the original door locks installed by developers. These locks, even if inexpensive, often have a "partial lock" function with two types of keys. Owners can hand over keys to decorators without needing them to enter the house. When the key is inserted and turned, it becomes difficult to replicate or lose. As a result, many owners feel these locks are safe and choose not to replace them. Property manager Zhang from a large real estate company in Shanghai mentioned that most residents don't change their locks, as the building was constructed earlier and uses A-level anti-theft locks. In fact, some smaller developers still install A-level locks to cut costs. According to a visit to the Beijing home improvement market, A-level locks currently cost just tens of yuan. These locks typically feature either a word-shaped key or a cross-shaped key. Their internal structure is simple, with limited pin changes and shallow grooves. In contrast, B-level locks use flat-panel keys with double-row pin slots. They also feature curved, irregular patterns on the key surface. There are three main types of lock cylinders: computer double-row, double-row crescent, and double-sided vane. Fingerprint locks have become increasingly popular in high-end real estate. During interviews, reporters found that new high-end developments in urban areas have largely moved away from traditional locks and adopted fingerprint locks instead. At a newly delivered property near Beijing’s West Third Ring Road, all doors were equipped with Asia Pacific Tianneng fingerprint locks. These locks come with a fingerprint sensor and a keypad, allowing access via fingerprint, password, or an emergency key. The password function usually allows for up to 12 digits, offering flexible security settings. Industry insiders revealed that fingerprint locks vary in price, but well-known brands used in premium developments are typically Asia Pacific Tianneng models. These units generally cost around 3,000 to 4,000 yuan each. Even the cheapest fingerprint locks can cost over 2,000 yuan. As a result, they are primarily promoted in mid-to-high-end housing and are already gaining popularity in the luxury market.
