US December PX Quotes Review Comment

According to reports, the December settlement price for paraxylene (PX) contracts in the United States is expected to rise, but the final settlement price has not yet been determined, market participants said. Market participants pointed out that the factors driving the US PX price increase in December included the spot price increase in the Asian PX market and the increase in the price of mixed xylene (MX) and other aromatic products in the United States.

Asia's December PX contract settlement price (ACP) was $1,550/ton CFR Asia. In addition, the price of PX in the United States will also be affected by the prices of other aromatics. Since the end of November, the prices of MX, MX and benzene in the United States have both increased. Major US PX producers include BP Chemicals, Exxon Mobil, Chevron Phillips Chemicals and Flint Hills Resources.
