Introduction to Oriented Strand Board
One of the new varieties of particleboard. When the shavings are formed, the mixed particleboards are arranged longitudinally in the direction of the fibers, thereby pressing the prepared particleboard. The shape of the particle board requires a relatively large length and width, and the thickness is slightly thicker than that of the ordinary particle board. Directional paving methods are mechanical orientation and electrostatic orientation. The former is suitable for large planed directional paving, and the latter is suitable for fine shaving directional paving. The surface of the oriented strand board is covered with fine materials such as sawdust and chips, and the core is filled with structural sheets of oriented shavings. The board has a five-layer structure: two layers of fine materials on the upper and lower sides, two layers of longitudinally oriented shavings in the middle, and horizontally oriented shavings in the core layer.
The slab can be paved once on a continuous multi-head molding machine. It can be used as a bearing member for panel furniture (side motherboard, shelf, etc.). Due to the high strength of the oriented strand board in a certain direction, the oriented surface shavings and the oriented core shavings can be vertically interlaced according to the principle of the plywood to form a three-layer or five-layer oriented strand board. Its performance is similar to that of plywood, and it is often used instead of plywood for structural materials. This is a new type of structural board, which has broad prospects in making full use of small-diameter materials, fast-growing materials, and improving wood utilization.
The particleboard oriented shaving dryer can use single-channel rotary drying equipment or three-channel rotary drying equipment. The fuel can use biomass fuel, coal, fuel oil and so on.
