Graphene was elected EU high-tech flagship project

Graphene, a single layer of carbon atoms arranged in a hexagonal lattice, is not only the thinnest material known but also one of the strongest. Unlike short-term funding models seen in recent years, the EU's Future Emerging Technology Flagship Project is designed to provide sustained financial and strategic support for long-term technological breakthroughs. He emphasized that the government will continue to support such high-potential projects through collaborative efforts, aiming for significant technological leaps. Meanwhile, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has also expressed interest in advancing graphene development, recognizing its importance in the broader context of national industrial upgrading and innovation.
