Statistics show that each year, the construction area of ​​newly-built houses in urban and rural areas in China is nearly 2 billion square meters, of which more than 80% are high energy-consuming buildings. Nearly 40 billion square meters of existing buildings, 95% of which are high-energy buildings, building energy consumption has accounted for 40% of China's total energy consumption, building energy conservation has become the focus of energy-saving emission reduction targets. Energy-saving renovation of existing buildings has great potential for energy conservation and emission reduction.

During the “Eleventh Five-Year Plan” period, energy efficiency in buildings has assumed 20% of all energy-saving tasks in China. If 50% of energy-saving standards are actually implemented, and 65% of energy-saving standards are implemented locally, then 454 million tons of standard coal can be saved annually by 2020. , which accounted for 30.7% of the country's energy saving target mission during the same period.
