US anti-dumping and zeroing of diamond saw blades in China was included in the WTO dispute

It was learned from the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China that China filed a supplementary consultation request on the 22nd to sue the US dispute on the use of zeroing in the anti-dumping measures (case number DS422), requesting the lawsuit against the US anti-dumping case against warm water shrimp. On the basis of this, the zeroing in the anti-dumping measures taken by the US diamond cutting saws on November 4, 2009 was also included in the dispute.

The head of the Department of Treaty and Law of the Ministry of Commerce said in a statement on the 22nd that the US side has adopted a zero-return approach in violation of the WTO rules in the above two cases, improperly imposed high anti-dumping duties, and damaged Chinese warm water shrimp and diamond saw blades. The legitimate right to hope that the Chinese side’s concerns can be properly resolved at an early date under the WTO dispute settlement mechanism.

On December 8, 2004, the United States issued an announcement on anti-dumping measures against warm water shrimp exported from China. After the final ruling, Chinese export companies sued the US anti-dumping ruling to the US International Trade Court three times, and on July 29, 2010, the final tax rate was obtained. The Chinese side believes that the United States has adopted a zero-return approach in violation of the WTO rules in this case, which has damaged the legitimate rights of Chinese warm water shrimp enterprises. Although after many negotiations, the United States has never been able to resolve China's concerns. On February 28 this year, China resorted to the WTO anti-dumping measures against Chinese warm water shrimp to the WTO dispute settlement mechanism.
