Sandvik develops P, M, K blades

This is the three new carbide inserts developed by Sandvik.
1 P-type inserts are used for turning of steel. It is characterized by the use of both sides of the insert and can be used for heavy-duty cutting. The insert has a positive rake angle and a small cutting force. The bottom of the insert has a wide stable surface and smooth cutting.
2 M-type inserts are used for the turning of stainless steel. The cutting edge is sharp, the chip breaker is open, the cutting force is small, the chip pocket is small, and burrs are not easy to produce.
3 K-type inserts are used for turning of cast iron. They are characterized by a wide range of geometric shapes and have been used in the GC3000 insert series for cast iron turning.
