Omron Global Releases Integrated Industrial Robots

On April 1, 2016, Omron released a number of industrial robots to 39 countries around the world, including 49 first-class robots developed by Omron Aidepu Technology. These robots have been integrated with Omron's sensor portfolio, safety components and the award-winning NX/NJ series of machine automation controllers to simplify robot installation in production environments.

Omron integrates inspection, control, motion and safety functions into the robot, which not only modernizes the manufacturing process, but also increases productivity. The three robotic product families (SCARA, Delta, Articulated) are released to enable OMRON solutions to achieve high speed performance and reliability at the same time.

All robots released are controlled by a common integrated development environment, which allows customers to flexibly select the type of robot for their specific application. The Automated Control Environment (ACE) includes an application-oriented, practical wizard that significantly reduces the amount of programming code. Users can use powerful 3D simulation tools to dramatically reduce the time required to validate new automated processes.

The robotic solution also seamlessly connects all robots and machine control environments managed by the Sysmac automation platform. This approach can go beyond the limitations of traditional frameworks using ordinary robots and increase the total capacity of demanding production lines.
