Dies are threading tools that machine or correct external threads. It is equivalent to a nut with a very high hardness, and several chip holes are formed around the screw hole, and a cutting cone is generally ground at both ends of the screw hole.
Dies are divided into round dies, square dies, hexagonal dies and tubular dies according to their shape and use. Among them, round dies are the most widely used, and the specifications range from M0.25 to M68 mm. When the diameter of the machined thread is out of tolerance, the adjustment groove on the die can be cut to adjust the median diameter of the thread. The die can be machined with thread in the die wrench or on the machine in the die holder.
