China's total output of 10 non-ferrous metals rose 2.8% in October

ChinaKnowledge reported on November 30th that the latest figures released by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology show that in October this year, China’s total output of 10 non-ferrous metals rose by 2.8% from the same period of 2009 to 2.63 million tons.

October production of electrolytic aluminum fell by 5.4% year-on-year to 1.21 million tons; electrolytic copper fell by 0.2% from the same period of 2009 to 400,000 tons.

In October, the growth rate of new output of non-ferrous metals slowed down by 3.2% from September, an increase of only 6%, far lower than the average growth rate from January to October this year. From January to October, the total output of non-ferrous metals jumped by 21.2% from the same period of 2009 to 26.17 million tons.
